Lovango Cay is a privately-owned island located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, resting ideally between St. Thomas and St. John. Lovango Cay Enclave is an upscale master-planned community, limited to a few select home sites with resort living amenities that offer hillside views and oceanfront properties, just five minutes away from the world renowned, five-star Caneel Bay Resort on St. John. Location
Lovango Cay belongs to the United States Virgin Islands and is thus not a foreign country. It naturally benefits from being a US territory and provides comfort and security to property owners who would prefer investing in the US and are not comfortable investing outside of Western territories. Being a private island, Lovango is exclusive and secure by nature. However, its idealized location, views and accessibility, are further accentuated by the designation of its neighboring lands and its desirable natural habitat. Lovango Cay is a boaters paradise and offers the most sought after snorkeling and diving spots in all the Virgin Islands. The southern side of Lovango overlooks the northwestern coast of St. John, which is almost entirely designated as a protected national forest. Aside from the easily accessible beaches at Caneel Bay and Peter Bay (considered among the best beaches in the world) the remainder of the northwestern coast is protected land. The northern side of Lovango is shielded from the Atlantic Ocean by Congo Cay, which is also a nationally protected reserve. Lovango’s close proximity to Congo (several hundred feet away) has created a beautiful and intimate environment of shallow, calm, turquoise waters perfect for recreation and meditation.

Utilities
The island currently features two 130-foot piers creating an easily accessible landing for yachts, boats and barges, state-of-the-art electric generators to power the entire island, satellite technology for all telephone, internet and television connectivity, a reverse osmosis water treatment facility, and concrete roads and driveways that provide all-weather access to designated home sites. After six years of legal processing for master planning, entitlement and infrastructure development, and issuance of the first home permits, construction is now beginning in 2010 on select home sites.

Sustainable Design
Island living by its very nature lends itself perfectly to sustainable living. An island acts as its own living breathing entity and we want to preserve that for generations to come. It is our goal to tread as lightly as possible, protect the natural beauty that exists and reduce the carbon footprint of the development. We will use methods from the United States Green Building Council’s LEED rating systems as well as other proven methods to accomplish these goals.
