During the CIVIL WAR the fertile Shenandoah Valley served as the bread-basket for Washington, D.C.

Only 100 miles West of DC and with today’s stronger “horsepower” and beautiful country side, rolling Blue Ridge mountains and Shenandoah River’s North + South Forks, the “VALLEY” has become a world-renown vacation spot on the East Coast.

The River House has 600 + feet of North Fork exposure, is 40 ft deep at this part. Bring your Kayak or canoe and do not forget the fishing rod. One guest caught an almost 4 ft bass!

Close by attractions include Bryce and Massanutten Ski Resorts, National Park, Skyline Drive, Luray and other Caverns, New Market Civil-War Museum and re-Enactments, seasonal concerts, Theatre in Little Washington, Middletown and Black Friars Shakespeare Theatre in Staunton.
